Seems there was a very nasty accident today.

Sharon Hammett posted to Gloucestershire Bikers Nite
Ok, before the rumour mill goes into overdrive..........we came across an accident on the way home from The Anchor this afternoon. We stopped just up from the scene. Spoke to some of the residents that came out to assist before the ambulance, police and air ambulance arrived. From the description of the bike and also the description that police gave us, we are 99% certain we know who it was.

Unfortunately the man died at the scene. I have phoned Steph as she knew him and more details about him than we did. I did this in the hope that he could be identified sooner and his family informed.

As soon as we know for certain, I will put further details on here. If it is who we think, he is not a member on here but please be respectful that he may have friends/family as members. Facebook is a wonderful thing but at moments like this can be dangerous.

Very sad end to a lovely weekend and brings home the reality of what could happen to anyone of us.

Sha xx

The above messages were moved to a (hopefully) more appropriate area.

Once again, condolences to all involved.
