I am a female rider, recognise your name from 'the other site'. I live in Cheltenham, but if you want to meet up, let me know . . . .

Went out on a brand spanking new VFR800 v-tech, I absolutely hated it. Totally gutted :( It was not the best riding position for me and all on my wrists, only had two bars on the petrol display, was told that if I wanted to go further to put petrol in!! Is that right? I didn't of course  . Didn't like the way the v-tech cut in at 6000rpm, wasn't as smooth as I thought it was going to be. I would use one as a track bike though but not for touring. Maybe it's ok for taller people, tho I am 5'7", I put a deposit on a Vfr 02 plate the weekend before and said I wouldn't buy it until I test rode one. After I bought the bike back and explained that I didn't think the bike was really for me, apart from needing to be lowered and maybe rather heavy, he said that the one I had put a deposit on was a lot older and had obviously sagged with age and wouldn't ride like a new one! :? What on earth is the point then :?: So, on that note, back to the drawing board  and couldn't have my deposit back til next week  Any suggestions :?:

Hi Bindyboo,
Welcome to the site. I ride a Harley, to much disgust of the others lol (I'm only joking,) I do ride a HARLEY tho.
I live in Chelt, but as you've guessed by my name I'm a shift worker.
Thursday nights we meet at the Cross keys, Barnwood Rd Glos, Play darts and just have a chat.

I've not done Hoggin the Bridge before, so as for Fancy Dress, not sure about that.
Ive been riding just 2 yrs and Harley is my 1st bike.
Although I did have a Bandit 650 for a week (Along story I'll tell you about it one day). That was however, quite nice to ride, so given your comments above, not sure if that might be an idea for you???
Look forward to meeting you soon.

Hi Bindyboo

Shame about the VFR :(

Other ladies on the site have an R1 (Yammy) Bandit 1200 (Little Bear) and Bandit 1250 (Red).

I'm sure that there are some ladies I've forgotten.....shame on me

I know Yammy has problems getting her leg over  ..but that is being sorted ;) ...and that the Bandits are liked...so maybe try a Bandit?

the VFR makes a horrid track bike, I cant think of a worse one to be honest, try to get a ride on a mint VTR1000 which can be had for £1700 or so, nice n light, proper torque (not like a vfr)...totally reliable once tensioners are done and replaced the regulator.....the VTR would hand a VFR its ass on a platter round a track, I am converted after 30 years of riding allsorts and for the money cant think of anything more fun and smile inducing than this well underated (by people who havent ridden them) big twin, TLR's look nicer but are quite a poor ride...if you want you can have a go on mine and you dont have to pay for the petrol.
