Would just like to tell everyone, although you've not met me yet that this morning I passed my Mod 1. Over the next couple of days I'll be booking my Mod 2 which unlike the Mod 1 I'll be taking on my own bike. I'm going though on a restricted licence because listening to what I've been told and bearing in mind my own needs it'll be more than adequate for me.
Got to say I'm one very happy and relieved bunny!

Congratulations :!: :!:
It took me 3 x to pass Mod 1. Weldone you.
Mod 2 much more relaxing, just ride as you do with your Instructor, and enjoy it. (No remarks on that line please from the boys     !!!!!)
If it helps I took 'Rescue Remedy' (can be bought over the counter from any chemist or Tesco off the shelf)

Once again Weldone....xx

I had zero confidence that I'd pass this time and when the examiner told me I had I gave him a big hug and almost knocked him out as I still had my helmet on! I'm not particularly stressed about the mod 2 tbh, at least I'll be on my own bike and won't be expected to make ridiculous manouvers that so far I've NEVER needed to do out on the real roads!
Lots of people have told me about Rescue Remedy, but don't think I'm going to need it. Mod 1 was my big problem and now, thank goodness, that's behind me!

Hope to meet you sometime . . . .

Thanx to everyone for all the lovely comments. Went out after work to an industrial park in Cheltenham and practised the figure of 8's and u-turns just for the hell of it on my own bike. Not an impossibility, but no way were they as tight as in the Mod 1. Wonder how many times in my future biking career I'm gonna need to do a slalem . . . unless of course I go on the piste . . . which btw I frequently do at home or down the pub!

'U' turns are useful, figure of eights less so. I think that figure of eights give you additional confidence that you can handle the bike in confined spaces. They won't be the easiest things to do on your type of machine but practice makes perfect.

Go to youtube and search for motorcycle gymkhana - now that's clever stuff! I'd love to have a go at that!     Wonder if we can sort out a rideout to somewhere that does that????

How soon can you get onto module two?

Watched motorcycle gymkhana, as you said "now that's clever stuff" and on wet gound too. My excuse for not planning to attempt it is . . . that cruisers ain't built for that sort of action and I'm sticking to it, lol!
