Well this may be one of very few chances to do a big run to get a stick of rock before the bad weather sets in :(

Who fancies a blast to Aberystwyth? 8-)

Meet at Evesham services for 9.30am then onto Worcester, Bromyard, Leominster, Rhayader then through the back roads of Elan Valley to Aberystwyth for a well deserved ice-cream on the Prom. Sand castle competition optional!

It will be an all-dayer......yipee :-D

ps don't forget to bring your sun hats!!

Nail or screw in the rear tyre... won't know until later today whether it's going to leak air until I pull the damned thing out. Best to say no right now.

Have a good 'un though.

Pulled out the culprit... only a couple of millimeters deep - no sign of air escaping! RESULT! Oh! hang on, there's another bit stuck in the depths of the tread.... pulled it out and psssssssssssssssssssst!

Damn! I knew I wasn't that lucky.

A good day :-D :-D :-D

Didn't quite go to plan as the Beano weather department lied again!

Got to Crossgates for a big fry-up breakfast then noticed big black clouds towards the coast. Went to Newtown instead then Craven Arms, Glos and home.

220 miles including some 'progressive' stuff  :-D :-D

Thanks to Jevo and Strongy for the laughs and The Beano, I suppose, as the rain did stay away....just!

I guess you are feeling a little 'flat' like Strongy was last week!

Ouch...a new tyre...ouch!

Still, you could be the person that has just won £112m on the Euro. Nah, with that luck I think not :(

Had a brill day out with Ruggie and Strongbow. Lots of laughs......is it raining yet? A useful ride with some magnificent roads. I loved the road from Crossgates to Newtown. It may only be a short run (16 miles) but it has great scenery and lovely bends.

Managed to work out my tank range for the CBF. A respectable 185 miles from fill up to near empty. May have been able to stretch to 190. We did not hang around either had a few speedy bits in the mix. I could not quite keep up with K1300 and the Blackbird, but the CBF 1000 did OK.

Thanks to you both for a great day out.

Les.
