Hello,

i am new to the site. I have a Kawasaki ZZR1400 and i have restored (sort of) a Z1000J3 recently. I can not decide which is better to ride really. The ZZR is very fast and comfortable however the Z1000J is a real trip back down memory lane. Mind you they do say as you get older the outside ages but the inside stays 18, i can identify with that one.

Look forward to seeing some of you at the Glos bike nights

thanks for the welcome. I found the site by using my wifes face page thingy, dont tell her!!!!

put in a search for Glos Bike nights and follwed the links to a post that "blondemoment" had posted. there was a link last year from Fraser's web site, might be an idea to get that put back again for the bike nights this year?

the Z1000 is waiting to have a new, yes new Alfa41 fitted, its sitiing in the garage with the down pipes on, but i can not get them to fit and not blow on the manifold. I think i will have to resort to Gun Gum to get an airtight fit. It then needs to good polish and clean and it will be ready for the summer evening rides.

anyone know how to post pictures on this site? i can then stick a couple on of the Z1000.

see you soon.

Have you fitted new exhaust gaskets on the manifold? They are usually copper or aluminium and fibre.
