Hi "Boys 'n' girls".
A few bits of info' about myself. (Kept very brief as i cannot type )
I picked up your leaflet at Brackley Yamaha recently & thought i'd Log on.
Once you get to know me you will accept that i always exagerate, to prove a point so here's the first one (IE: exageration)
1)
I am a very good, highly qualified "biker", HOWEVER, my computer skills & typing are outragiously BAD, hence i'm still trying to work your "website", find myself around it & converse with you all.
2)
I am "middle aged" married with an 18 year old daughter & live 8 miles from DAVENTRY (Northants)
3)
All my friends just call me "PJ"
4)
I get the impression most of you are based in/around Glouscester??
5)
My bike is a Suzuki GSX 1400, bought it new 6 years ago, luv' it ta' pieces, hence still have it. (I'm far too "rotund" to still ride sports bikes)
6)
Actually i'm mega lucky as i get to ride many (mainly Yamaha's) bikes whilst at work.
So there you are, from what i've seen of you thus far (on the website) you all appear really nice, down to earth poeple, game for a laugh & I trust that I will fit in with you all.
Every continued success with your friends,
Kindest regards,
PJ
PS.
Now i am being serious, ANYBODY needing help with any slow speed manouvers ( "U"-Turns) on thier bikes, please let me know, I REALLY CAN HELP YOU.

:) welcome to mthe site pj, glad youve loged on 8-) dont worry about pc skills as some members have only just mastered switching a pc on 8-) be good to see you on a ride out , though its now entering the miserable weather season  , most of us will be doing plenty of rides for next year and if the winter gives us a few calmer days theres usually some one out at the weekends 8-)

Hi Plazmapants,
Thanks for your kind comments (IE: On my computer skills )
I look forward to meeting up with some/all of you both thro' this winter & into next year.
I am guessing, but I think Ma Larkins may be the nearest you all get to my neck of the woods (Assuming you live in/around Gloucester)
Perhaps i may get to see 1~2~3 of you should you visit Silerstone, it is approx 15 miles from where I live. I will keep tabs on your "ride~outs" just in case one is nearer to me.
Regards,
PJ

Hi PJ,

welcome to our site and thanks for the kind comments. We have a few member up near Ma Larkins and we try to ride out in that direction. You are correct though when you say most of are from around Gloucester. THat does not stop us venturing into Wales and down to the south coast. Like Strongbow says it would be good to explore your area. I hope to get up to Silverstone in the near future as quite a few people on the site follow the motorcycle racing calendar.

I too am a rotund gentleman, so we have something in common. I am interested to know more about the slow speed maneuvers you mention as I am always interested in improving my riding. Several of the group have IAM qualifications and Strongbow rides on one of our local Blood bikes (I am proud of him for that).

I look forward to meeting up some time. Welcome to the site.

Les.

Hi Strongbow & Les,
Whilst I cannot promise this, I may just have to invite a few of you to my place for a BBQ. (YES, EVEN THO' WINTER APPROACHES) A few Bangers 'n' burgers hit the spot.
A) An excuse to get you lot into my neck of the woods, plus, B) get to meet, on a second/further occassion.
Les,you ask/interested in my "slow speed maneuvers" plus several of your colleagues are IAM members (Bikes or cars ? )
Only because you ask (For the record i am not "mouthing off" )
I too am an IAM member (On a bike) have passed the "Enhanced Bike Rider" scheme, completed the police high speed persuits (on a bike) plus am a DSA ( Driving Standards Agency ) licenced & qualified "DAS" motorbike instructor.
Now you know why I offered to your friends (rather than them be fearfull of "U-Turns" & wrecking thier bikes) to show/teach them, how it can be done, plus any other slow speed stuff. (NO, NO, NO, I do not want or expect payment for this, I wish some computer "whizz~kid" in your group would bring me out of the 18th century & into the 21st on my computer )
A mega congrats' to Strongbow for his Blood Bike involvement, cos' boy, as bikers we really do appreciate the need & life saving role that plays in our lives.
If I can help the boys n girls, then at your/thier request, my pleasure to do so, i too once had to learn.
Kindest regards,
PJ
