Has anyone got any tips on which insurance company to go with? I've got quotes thru Compare The Market, Money Supermarket, BikeSure and Carol Nash. Carol Nash so far the most expensive! Might've just stayed with my present insurer, but they won't cover the Dragstar for some reason, so am getting stung for cancelling! Want fully comp and it's kept garaged at my Mum's over night. Any useful tips based on your vast experience???

Rule No. 1 - Insurance companies, like lawyers have a licence to print money. They will take every opportunity to rip you off! Sorry to hear about the cancellation fee but that seems to be standard fare these days. All I can advise is shop around as much as you can. Comparison sites are NOT always the cheapest. Try the Co-op, Aviva etc.

I'm currently with eBike but I didn't shop around too hard so that's no recommendation!

Fanks guys. Now hoping that it doesn't snow between Nottingham and here until at least Friday lunchtime or they might not even be able to deliver the bike!!! Will be sorry to see them take my Intruder away, it's been a loyal friend to me, but tis time to move on. Just hoping for a chance or two at least to ride my new bike before the weather put it's spanner in the works for the winter. So far so good, but . . . .

It's getting much colder now but providing it isn't icy or there's not a lot of snow lying about there will be decent riding days to come. Just wrap up warm.

Well there's a first (for me at least), rang the insurance company who I was with for the Intruder to cancel and to cut a very long story short they're refunding me what I'm owed and waiving the cancellation fee because they say I should've been given "every opportunity" to stay with them . . . . good thing I was sitting down at the time!
