I know the Harley shop were planning something for the ladies, but, I don't know if it's just Harley's going out.
Sue, (Steph Shaw's Sister) told me about it a couple of weeks back. I assumed it was just Harley's. But, I don't know for sure.

That's the one. I don't ride a Harley (yet!) and I'm going! Sue, who my instructor Keith introduced me to on Tuesday after I'd already arranged with her to go, said it ain't exclusively for Harleys. Wouldn't be an issue with me as I love them, even if I do end up miles behind as they ride off into the distance, hey ho!

What's that all about, not that I can be in two places at one time!

I'm on late shift Sunday, and did slow riding today (Sat) at race course.
Sue's N0 for the ladies ride out on Sunday is 07802912124
If any one interested please call her before tomorrow.
There are a few 125's on 'L' plates going.
Enjoy your selves.

As it happened I was the only L Plate on the rideout although there was another lady on a 125 Marauder who had already passed her test. Not everyone was on a Harley and most of ther girls were very friendly, but unfortunately not everyone appreciated that with the best will in the world a 125 cannot keep up with or accelerate at the same pace (especially on an incline) as a Harley or any other bigger engined bike come to think of it. Still I made the most of the day and quietly thought to myself I won't forever (I hope) be a learner having to ride a 125!
BTW what was the 'slow riding' thingy all about?

Slow Riding was exactly that 'SLOW RIDING'.
You'll get to do it on your test, 'U turns;, 'Fig of 8', Solum, and the Slow Walk beside the examiner, and of course the dreaded Emergency Stop. It was great fun.
Well worth doing.
As for the Harley, I just sat on it after passing my theory, put a deposit down on it and that was it. I Naively thought that if I could reach the floor with both feet. I couldn't drop my bike ....Not True.
But, what ever you choose hope you enjoy riding it.
