Nearly narrowed it down to single figures which bikes I'd like once I pass my test . On a more serious note, just had a lush ride out to Stroud and back. Then into Frasers for a mooch around followed by a quick cuppa in the new Asda's cafe in Cheltenham on the way home. Just over six hours in the saddle and I'm walking like John Wayne!
Might go to Prescott tomorrow . . . .

Sounds like a great day in the saddle. Unfortunately, I was sat in the office grafting away. I popped out on the bike to Sainsburys at lunch time though. Shirt, jeans and a helmet. Not safe but bloody enjoyable!

Usually work on Fridays, sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays too, in fact often 7 days a week! Got some A/L to use up so am having several Fridays off to make into long weekends if I don't end up get badgered into doing O/T! Was going to Prescott but think the tickets are as steep as the blinking hill climb and that's before you put your hand in your pocket for anything else. Will have to find somewhere else to ride to

Believe me I've been tempted, but so far have always managed to resisted and err on the side of caution. Tomorrow the weather's due to change so the temptation to ride without a jacket won't apply, thank goodness!

No Bath WTF!! Its a rare pleasure for a soak in a full soapy tub and let the man eggs gently float around the surface as if they were spacemen.....ahem.

Wannabe, I know you think you want a Harley and I respect whole heartidly your taste and wants, but have a look at some of the Kawasaki tourers, I suggest having a look at this link and go and have a test ride after your test and compare to a 883/1200 harley I think you will be surprised and will have a new "view" of what a harley is/offers, compared to the above....I know you would prefer the ride to the Harley, but if its a Harley you want at least try the opposition first.

Just looked at it, fair play beautiful bike and very similar in appearance to the one I've got. Love the twin pipes! What do you know about this bike, and how it compares to a similar Harley? I don't blanketly like all Harleys, in fact I've got very specific things I do and do not want and like from a bike and of course there's the not so small matter of money too! Look forward to hearing back from you :)

This is the 900cc model 2007 version I think, its not made anymore but search about most are in mint condition, these are perfect for not just new riders, loads of torque and relativly smooth compared to the lumpy and vibratery Harleys, this ones aimed squarely in the face of the 883 custom and 1200 customs, they are easier to live with nicer to ride but dont have the "kudos" of the Harley badge, they are better made than the Harley, I know the Kawa wont let you down....just for example go to hoggin the bridge....and see all the broken down ones.....just try one when you can.

Will definitely bear your advice in mind. Got to get through test first and I'm aiming for the restricted licence thingy. When I'm ready to change my bike I'll look at all the options very carefully. In the meantime I do have a bike I love. This gives me the benefit of looking for something bigger at my leisure. Thanx again, I really do appreciate it
