No Need for that..

Just put a sticker over it (I used one of the white sticky lables you get on A4 sheets). Put it on just before you get to the test centre & take it off once you've left (dont let the tester see you doing it unless you know them).

The mot tester will know why it is there but cant remove the sticker as he'll (or she) will be damaging your property, so... they wont be able to see the "not for road use" warning.

It was an mot tester who told me this & i got mine mot'd a few weeks ago and it passed (the guy who did the test said loads of people do it)

Sounds to good to be true but trust me you'll be fine.

I had heard that but thought it was too good to be true. Will do that then and see how it goes. Thanks for that :)

Just a quick question, what happens when the exhaust heats up, will the sticker burn, melt or just fall off? :| Could it damage the exhaust?

Les.

They dont run the engine for long in the test..
