Ok, thought I would start this section off.

I am still have tyre pressure issues. I love my Avon Storms since having them fitted. However I find that every time I leave the bike for a few days the tyre pressures in both front and rear have dropped. Only by a few psi (5 seems to be about average).

I now check and pump them up each time I ride the bike. My question is " is it worth getting them filled with the special foam thingy?"

Does it work? will I still need to check the tyre pressures etc?

I would be interested to know what people think. I am happy to carry on as I am, so just want to canvass opions.

Cheers,

Les.

Hi

I have used Ultraseal before and it should help with your pressures dropping as you must have a slight leak somewhere. IAM use this stuff also so it must be good if they use it.

They say it helps with tread life also so money well spent i say.

You would still need to check your pressures though but you shouldnt see them dropping by that much.

Hi Jevo

They will change slightly now because of the ambient (what?!) temperatures coming down.

What I used to have on my Blackbird were tyre pressure caps. They change from green to red if the pressure drops too much. 8-)

If you want to chuck some gunk in also, I think I have a bottle that's going free to a nice home. ;)

Can't use it on my BMW. They discourage the use of it. Shame, because I think it's blinking good stuff!

I'll bring it with me tonight.

The other thing is, I have heard of wheels becoming ever so slightly porous as they get older. It may be worth next time you have the tyres changed getting the Dealer to do a dip in a water bath. In the meantime, the gunk should do the trick if this is the case.

Chris Mullins is recommended by a lot of people I know.... guys come from all over to get their tyres there. Very knowledgable and decent prices. If you are a member of C-CAM you get a 10% discount too.

Hi

I used to have these on my Firestorm they were grippy as hell but wore out quick due to the bike being a v twin. I know a friend of mine who has them on his gixxa and rates them.
