 Post subject: camcorder repair

hi folks,i have a jvc camcorder that i want to get repaired ready for the coming bike season.
i plugged it in to annes car charger when the battery got low and now it wont work at all. :cry:
would anyone like to take a look at it for me?
i would be very grateful :)

hi jon , is there a manual wit it , or may be get one off the net, for starters id try to charge the batt then look for a reset button if it has one , and press it to see if itll reset and fire up... it could be that the batt is a right off and thats the reason it wont fire up....?

cant find reset and have tried another battery stil no joy.
think i will have to bin it

There is an Audio Video repair place next to Bransons (or the was) why not give them a call before you bin it. Could be worth it, shame to throw it away if it can be fixed. They should at least advise you if it can be fixed and if it's cost effective.

:) found this on another forum, not sure if itll help as i dont know your model but its a small chance , seems theres a few people out threre with this prob judging by the forums,
"tech said that there is a switch inside between the battery and where you plug in the AC. It's job is to switch the power routing between the battery and AC depending on what your using. Unfortunately,maybe this switch has gotten stuck to the AC position.
