I have another question.

Over the winter I will be using the bike, but not as often. In the last place my bike was stored I was able to put it on a trickle charger (Optimate) as I had a power socket. Were my bike is now there is no socket, can I rig something up with another battery or one of those boxes you jump start a bike from that you charge up at home?

any thoughts?

can you not park the bike closer to the house and run a lead to it once a week ? or sneak a lead to it when your at work?

Both possible, but fiddly. Current garage is more than 500 yards away from my first floor flat, parking outside could be a problem with our elderly neighbors. As for work would not want to to that as couldn't keep an eye on the bike.

Will probably just make sure I run the bike once a week.

:!: les the tillers bat is a bugger to take off so ive attached a lead to each terminal which now runs just inside the fairing so this makes pluggin it in a bit easier, maybe you could modifiy to make it quicker to take the batt off and on for charging purposes :?:

best thing to do is make your leads more easier to get at,then keep a jump battery topped up and if the bike wont start, just wack the jump on it and away you go,simples!!!
regards
john
