hi,i have a friend of mine who is struggling to fit a pair of heated grips to his bike.
he bought them cheap today but within hours of the purchase, i think he has totally wrecked the handlebars, snapped off the bar pin and done untold damage to the throttle switchgear!!!!
he wants to know how to take the switchgear cover off so he can get at the throttle tube, change it for the heated grip tube and replace.
i tried to explain this to him,but an hour later, more damage was done and to make matters worse, he has now switched his phone off.
i have sent him an e=mail asking him to phone me if he is still having difficulties but as of yet i have had no reply.
if any of you can help on this matter before the whole bike is wrecked or can take the piss more than me, the please phone PLAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IM SURE HE WOULD BE GRATEFUL

cheers guys always good to know whom ones friends are ;) my phone was switch off early last night as i had to get up at 5am this morning for work  , not that i had much sleep  kept waking up in a cold sweat due to recurring flashes of finger thumbs, screwdrivers and bar grips    believe it or not a friend at work last week, taught me how to tie a hangman's knot this might come in handy l8tr  anyway i dont to tempt fate anymore than i usually do so suffice to say iff it goes tits up there might be a new entry in the citizens obituary section

 well its over and done, (err i ope) the quick ish version goes like this  i got an offer on a set of heated grips cheap, i add em of course and so all i had to do was wire the things up :? yeah well electix aint me strongest point ( never was) so along comes mr spade (digger) :-D and says ill help you put em on , 8-) ... next day i continue the job of wiring them up and they dont seem to get and warmth, so i try starting the bike and ZIPPO   , digger comes back and after awhile were both looking at the bike scratching our heads
well it turns out that the new levers i fitted a week previous was the prob the clutch switch wasnt always being pressed in to start the bike :x this fault was found and sorted by strongbow, and boy when the bike started it really was music to my ears :-D :-D :-D thanks m8ty xx and another thanks to digger for putting me onto a very nice man who wired the grips up tonight to the live ignition from the switch, :-D and for his time , what a great bunch of fellows ;)
