For the last 2 days, I have been waiting for the Police to come and get me
It all started the other day. when 2 big police officers (in full body armour and with handcuffs, cs spray and big battons) knocked at my door. I was at work, so they knocked on my elderly neighbours door asking if I was about. I came home later and was told by my neighbour that the police were looking for me.
I waited all evening for a knock on the door that did not arrive. As you might imagine (and I certainly was using my imagination) I did not sleep too well. Still no contact in the morning, so I went to work. I got a call mid morning from my friend Martin who told me the rozzers had been back to get me.
This time they left me some contact details. I rang the number and they asked if they could come and see me at work. (By now I was thinking alsorts

) I said yes and the came to the day centre were I worked mid afternoon in a big 4x4 Police vehicle.
It turns out that it was in conection with the Afghan Heroes run at the weekend.
My tax disc had fallen off my bike and they were trying to deliver it to me. Phew!
They could have said what they wanted me for. However I am very grateful for them bringing it to me. It was found in Malmesbury and one of the bike coppers on the Wooton Bassett run was from Cheltenham and he brought it back for me.
Arn't our policemen (and women) wonderful.
I will sleep much better tonight. Thought I would share this story with you.
It's not been a good week for me this week, so nice to have some good news in the end.
Les.
