Perhaps we should go to Wainlodes down the hill then do the longer ride back.... less up hill sections that way.

Does this mean your going to take part in the event, Mr RF? it would be great to see you back on two wheels, even little scooter wheels

Just got back from the torturous ride on the little Yamaha Jog, it's got to be the worst thing I have EVER ridden. I am dreading the photos and video the others have taken of me.

The main thing is we have sorted out the date and route. Which is going to be Sunday 22nd August 2010. The route will be the one proposed by PlazmaPed :-D which is up towards Eastnor Castle and the Malverns and back through Up to Upton Severn. He will post details of the route later. (At least I hope he will)

We also said that we will get people to sponsor us. PM Anne (Blondemoment) for a form. The charity is Afghan Heroes, so we want to make as much money as we can for them. With this in mind we want people to wear fancy dress, although it's not compulsory. I know that the pink fairy will be making an appearance.

By the way it's a fiver a bike to take part (whether you have sponsors or not) We did not talk about this but I think that's a given.

I hope as many of you as possible will try to take part. We will monitor the numbers, and if it get to big an event them we may have to turn people away.

If you intend taking part please post your name below. Many thanks to all of you that plan to do this it is going to be a fun day out.

Les.

Just a reminder that this event is looming. Please add your name below to confirm that you are taking part. I have my costume ready for the day so I am ready to take part.

Anne can you email me a sponsor form please. PM Anne if you want one as well.

It's going to be a laugh and all for Afghan Heroes, so a worthy cause too.

Look forward to seeing the entry list grow.

Les.

Ok....... following conversations at the Hempstead Motorcycle Festival today. I have Jevo, Strongbow, Plazma, Digger, JamesVFR and John ? (JamesVFR's brother) who will be taking part. (I think that's right)

I hear a rumor that RF is going to join us, can you confirm this RF? Also can Borney and Chris let me know if they are coming along too. Sponsor forms are available from Blondemoment. She can email them to you.

I need to to know who is coming along ASAP please.

Other members are welcome to join us, but we would expect a donation to Afghan Heroes.

Les.

Not sure if I'm gonna be there... no wheels unless I can borrow one for the day. Count me out - for now. Sorry!

Ok , I have posted a route on the site but can't find it to repost , until anyone can find it then it's basically bunny island filling station:: start / leave at 10.00 (be fueled and ready to go before 10.00) out over the bridge to maismore, Staunton, pendock, left to eastnor, A449 to Malvern for our first stop at the c/p and grub hut, re start aprox 20 mins to head towards Henley swan and onto upton on Severn for din dins :-D back home via the B4211 corse lawn.
This is a ped/scooter ride in fancy dress if your mad enough, however all are welcome to attend but please make a donation to the charity of the day Afgan Heroes, . Those not on peds or scooters will have to be very carefull on the ride and might be asked to go on ahead to the stopping points if safety needs be , but will gage it on the day depending on turnOut of riders,
All riders will be responsible for their own vehicles and safety to themselves and other riders.

MANY THANKS R F ;) and yes les your right its bunny start..... Route }- Depart bunny heading towards westgate, over the bridge and to the roundabout take the 2nd exit off onto the A417 towards staunton. we take the 2nd exit off the mini roundabout onto the B4208 gloucester road and follow onto a left turn onto the A438 to eastnor.
from eastnor we join onto the A449 by turning right and riding to the malvern hills camp and pulling off road into the layby for a stop .
leaving the camp we take the 1st left turn onto the B4232 and head on to the Wyche where we join the B4218 and follow it down to the A449 to the show ground and left onto the B4209 over the lights to henley swan for another brief stop
heading out of henley swan we then do a right turn onto the B4211 into our goal of Upton upon severn ,,where for those that have made it so far can have a pat on the back and get somthing to eat from the towns pubs or chip shop if open or bring your own sarnies
Homeward bound will be through the town via A4104 then left onto the A4211 through longdon , turn right onto the A438 then after a short 50 yards turn left onto the B4211 past corse lawn to turn left onto the A417 back to the Over roundabout and then to buny island ..
ILL TRY AND PRINT SOME MAPS OUT but as its a ped run i honestly cant see me loosing sight of anyone

Only a few days to go now. Hope you've got your costumes ready. I am doing OK with my sponsors, so I have over £60.

Got this image from an email Anne sent me, looks like we might have another recruit.

Looking forward to a good fun ride out on Sunday. Weather looks like it might be kind to us. Fingers crossed.
