Hi Guys, I have just met Linda ( I expect you all know her cause she seems to know everyone! – top biker chick!) and she suggested I come on here so here I am!

I had my initiation on a bike when I was 3 years old and my big bros put me on our little orange Italjet, showed me the throttle but forgot about the brakes and how to turn. So I went charging down the garden and crashed straight into the hedge which caused them much amusement! I don’t think I’ve ever recovered!

My bros were big into schoolboy motocross so all my childhood memories are of charging around the country at weekends going racing. They were pretty good and the smell of Castrol always takes me back to those times!

My first road bike was a little Yamaha RD50 which I managed to seize up and sadly I failed my test after binning the bike on the emergency stop! Oops! So 18 years later (June 2009) I eventually managed to get around to taking it again and passed! And I’m delighted to say I’m now having a blast and trying to make up for lost time!

So I now have my little CBR600RR which I absolutely love and you can’t miss me ‘cause I’ve got bright red Dainese leathers! The phrase ‘all the gear, no idea’ comes to mind! It’s all a big learning curve but I’m getting there and loving every minute of it. I’ve met so many lovely people over the last year and it would be great to meet some more. So hopefully we’ll catch up at some point and I look forward to meeting you. In the meantime have fun and keep safe. HRL xxx

Hi,

welcome to J4R, it's always good to have people join us through personal recommendation. Look in Multimedia to see what we've been up to and in Ride outs to see the places we've been. Hope it doesn't put you off.   I look forward to meeting you on a ride out soon.

Linda is "Yammylinx" on this site and she is one of the moderators, so if you have any problems send her or any of the mods for that matter a pm.

The CBR600RR is a nice bike and I believe that a set of leathers can get quite hot at this time of the year ;) even red ones.

Look forward to meeting you.

Les.

Welcome to the site Hot Red ;)
I wish leathers agreed with my body shape only there's never enough vaseline
in the house to ease me into them :( (or out of em for that matter  )
