Hi I'm Pauline.
I'm middle aged, so some might say I'm having a 'MID LIFE CRISIS'
I passed my bike test July 2009, so, as you've already guessed I'm farely new at this.

I am the proud owner of a Harley Davidson 883 Sporster. Thought this would be the ideal bike for me as I can touch the groung ha!ha!ha. Me being very new to bike riding, I'm learning the hard way!!!

Took a wrong turn , realised the rd I was in; was too tight to do a 'U' turn, seeing a left hand turn further up the rd I thought I'd be clever and go for that one to do my 'U' turn. Very quickly realising, but, again too late, I dropped the throttle hence the bike too. Luckily for me I was going very very slowly in fact too slow some might say and yes I dropped the bike.
Thankgod, very minor damage a couple of small scuffs on the brake leaver and exhaust...which I'm told can be polished out.

So hey, how's that for a beginner alround!!!

Pauline

Hi Pauline,

welcome to our web forum, we have all been there and done that (maybe theres a market for the T Shirt...mmmmm :)  ) I have dropped every bike I have owned, usually while stationary

Good to have more new members on the site as you can see from our various postings and pictures were an excentric (posh for mad) bunch. I look forward to meeting up on one of our ride outs or social events.

Don't forget we have a quiz night on Thursday and soon we will be meeting up for a curry. Both would be a good opportunity to break the ice with the group.

Les.

Hi all,
Thanks for the very warm welcome.
I heard about you from a friend of mine (Jo and her hubby Chris) not sure if they have nick names or not???
Nice to know I'm not alone with the dropsy bit.
I have been out on a few of the Weds Cotswold Bike Nights, so may have already met a few of you who knows????. As for pics of me and my bike I'l get some sorted asap.
Very tired after a long shift, speak again soon.
