I know Sue Shaw (from Harley) and Dee who by now is probably restricter free. In fact Sue's told me about a 1200 for sale, but that's bigger than I want to go for at this stage. Very keen on this black Dragstar I've seen, but am not about to make any rash decisions. I need to get the best possible price for my bike as for me this next venture, including buying and getting the relevant restrictor kit fitted is going to cost a pretty penny!

Best wait until the star of the new season for selling then. Now isn't the best time unless you can get a good deal with a trade in.

Please believe me when I say the 1200 aint much more than the 883, but a better bike, 15hp more and that makes it much more usable than the 883, with more torque which mean less gear changes, the bike is the same size as the 883 (physically) ........no brainer, and with the dragstar prices so high if you want a "starter" harley this is the one. I thank you.

16 year old 1200 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good mods too.......http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HARLEY-DAVIDS ... 27c03f1be5

:) i might of missed the point here but why not just buy cheap machine to do the job then sell and go bigger , no need to faff about with restrictors , believe me it can become costly ;) good luck with what ever you decide though :2cool:
