ok so i thought id share a quick job ive done on the tiller regarding a cheaper alternative sat nav, to update my tomtom rider would cost over £200 new so i thought there must be a cheaper way,
so the idea i came up with ( im sure its been done before  ) was to run a normal car sat nav ( as these are cheaper to purchase ) on a bike , for some reason tom tom riders, and other bike sat navs are more dearer  maybe cause of the charging cradle and being splashproof,,,
any how hope the vid might help show how it can be done  .....

I was waiting for someone to come up with that
Next weeks installment is " how to fit a supercharger unit to Cosmics chair
Oh and there's no truth in the rumour that when I switch the sat nav on my grips start to warm up or that the neighbours garage door opens and closes
Lol

That looks like it works a treat Plaz 8-)
I have a car ratnav on the bandit but it's a much smaller screen than the tomtom XL so its harder to view & keep an eye on the road
The biggest difference bike satnavs have over car units is the anti glare screen, being waterproof & more user friendly buttons when wearing gloves 8-)

Way to go Plaz...that's almost as good as your helmet camera!!!

It is a bit of a rip-off that the Sat Nav companies charge us poor bikers so much but all that will change when they realise that we will be the only market left for them as car owners are now using the free of charge Sat Nav on their mobile phones! Ha...revenge is sweet!
