OK.... here's an opportunity for those who didn't come last weekend.....

August Bank holiday - leaving on Friday 26th, camping on the 27th, 28th & returning on the Monday (29th) at Squires cafe. Run to Whitby for fish and chips will be involved. Not sure what else but maybe Hawes again unless I can find something else of equal merit.

Don't miss this one! You've had fair warning!!!

We're back already!

5 hours and 175 miles in the pouring rain and spray on Friday soaked us all to the skin. Unfortunately, the weather continued to be on the damp side so not much could be dried out to allow us to ride anywhere in reasonable comfort.

We had a trip to Whitby yesterday over the Hole of Horcum road but only in cars which was most disappointing and this morning with the weather only showing slight improvement we made the decision to cut our losses and come back. We played dodge the rain on the way home but thankfully it was nowhere near as bad as it was just a couple of days ago.

Shame really but there's no accounting for the vagaries of British weather. :roll: :roll: :roll:

On the upside it was a great couple of nights in the pub and we had a good laugh.

Thanks to all who gave it a go. A real pleasure, as always.
