I hope I got my point accross :x

My complaint was about 2 issues both faults AND customer services.
Yesterday (20/2/11) we totally lost our broadband & TV for the whole day which meant that we missed our favourite TV programmes (that aren’t shown on catch up or repeated! ) & due to the loss of our internet I also missed out on some very important bids via online site eBay. This has happened twice in as many weeks & imo Virgin isn’t providing a reliable enough service. If I can't guarantee that my broadband/TV will work 24/7 then whets the point of subscribing to it in the first place?
This ISN'T good enough & I expect a lot more considering other broadband/TV providers have a more reliable track record (from people I have asked).

Secondly & most infuriatingly are your bloody useless & pointless INDIAN CALL CENTRES. Now we all know Virgin are only using these call centres because of cheap labour which in turn results in virgin making more profit, but in doing so you are alienating your customers by using these call centres in the first place. The communication between customers & these call centres is hopeless & the language barrier is extremely difficult to say the least. I myself called several times yesterday, two of which I ended up hanging the telephone up in frustration. I was told completely different things by every call centre operator I spoke to & out of all four I called, not one actually helped me out with our problem (which turned out to be an area wide issue). This I found out by knocking on neighbours doors of those I know also use virgin media. Now what is the point of these foreign call centres when its easier & more useful to step outside your own front door & ask complete strangers in your area than calling virgin media itself!
So in summary, over the past few weeks Virgin Media has been unreliable, more costly (both bills & call charges to your call centres when I have a fault) & without doubt the worst customer services I have ever had the miss fortune to come across which isn’t helped by useless, pointless Indian call centres. I always thought British Gas had the worst customer services/call centres, but congratulations, VIRGIN MEDIA, you have now beaten British gas hands down.
I doubt very much that anyone actually reads, listens, understands or replies to these complaints but hey, we live in hope so let’s see what happens.

Kind regards

I too have no problem with Virgin Media for my broadband.

By the way, that was some rant. Got to be one of the longest posts recorded too!

Les.

No problems here with VM. I've been with them since the day the service became available. I can only remember two occasions I've lost internet connection in all that time.

Sorry to hear of your current problems Baz and hope it all gets sorted very soon. I know what you mean about foreign call centres too!
